Here's how the show went

Hello loved ones,

We did it! We made Shopping for God happen.

It was everything I ever dreamed of and more. Bringing a creative vision into the world is a very special experience. If you have a creative dream, believe it can come true.

Here is the opening poem Naked, captured by the very talented Julie Kristiansen Kvamme. The cello you can hear playing is improvised by the inimitable Wei Ting Zeng. I love how her improvisations help me move my body.

So get a cup of tea, or cup of whatever makes you feel delicious, and settle in to watch the opening 5 minutes of Shopping for God. I wrote this poetry opera to tell the tale of my restless girlhood search for faith and meaning, and how I managed to find joy and love in accepting my life.
