I do all my best writing moments before I fall asleep. That was how I wrote this poem.
Lead me when I am asleep guide me when I am awake when I am between two states let my mind kneel at the gates to think with dreams a while to bathe my mind in streams of twilight and of dawn tides then think of paths before and after eras to melt like clocks to fall as words drop from the page these are the softest times this is the stuff of prayers this is the realm of rhymes this is the place souls roam and play here will I sit with my self amidst the flowers that rise from their bed angling toward the light waiting, wanting to be led Original artwork by me, Eleanor Flowers, and my cat (see her pawprints?).
